Course Development and Training
In today's environment, successful organizations are quick to adapt to demands in the market place. Whether they are producers of goods or services, training is an integral part of their human resource programs. Training and re-training allow an organization to take advantage of new technology and to react favorably to change by maintaining or enhancing the knowledges and skills of its work force. For training to be effective, however, it must be appropriately developed and conducted.
PMGLC has the expertise to help an organization determine its training needs and develop and conduct or recommend programs for the client's use. It is important to provide training in a methodology that allows the greatest amount of positive behavioral change. PMGLC has expertise in a wide range of training methodologies and technologies. This includes traditional didactic training and training-in-context approaches using video, computers, simulation, and visualization. We believe strongly in "practicing perfect" to enhance the transfer of new skills to the work place and to avoid reinforcing undesirable behaviors. Our approach is client oriented and cost effective. Training just for training's sake wastes an organization's resources, reducing employee effectiveness, efficiency, productivity and, eventually, damages morale. However, training designed to provide real and measurable change and/or benefits both to the organization and to the student once returned to his/her work environment, offer the best opportunity for positive change.
